Please read this blog with common questions about these fine mallets.

Hear each of these mallets used on a 30"+ Chau Gong below:

Oh! The incredible sounds you can create with these Yin Yang Gong Mallets! Call them "friction mallets" or "flumies" or "super rubbing amazios" it doesn't matter, they still do the trick on your gongs! These are yin and yangers - a band of sound brothers and sisters!

These Yin Yang Edition 5 Red Gong Mallets feature slightly less texture than you will find on the white handled Yin Yang Mallets. This difference in texture is minimal. Some players of Meinl and Paiste gongs prefer the reds. They work exactly the same as the white handled ones. They are neither better or worse than white handled ones, just slightly smoother. There is greater difference between a Cabernet to a Chardonnay.

We try to have each and every size in stock, but limitations to the quantities made by TTE Konklang can leave us with lack of inventory occasionally. It is a complex dance and we do our best to make our customers happy.

The Vario OTG 5 Handle is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by the manufacturer to play with this mallet. The small size of the rubber head is helped by the extra pressure one gets by using the handle. This listing is for the #0 Yin Yang Edition 5 Mallet only. PURCHASE THE VARIO OTG 5 HANDLE SEPARATELY HERE.

How to Maintain Rubber Konklang Mallets:
These rubber mallets have a built-in UV stabilizer which slows down the aging of the rubber. The UV protection is a wax-like substance inside of the rubber. It will gradually migrate to the surface.

To clean this wax up when you see it, you can occasionally pour boiling water over the ball, then rub with a terry towel.

Please Note: NEVER use a rubber conditioner!
