West of Chiang Mai is a granite mountain called "Doi Suthep". It is home to a beautiful, golden temple "Wat Phra That". It is believed that a great white elephant carried half of the shoulder bone of the Buddha up the mountain, blew its trumpet and died on the spot. This was taken as an omen that the temple should be built right there, on Doi Suthep.

In the tradition of Thai giants (mountains, temples, elephants), we present to you what we're calling the Doi Suthep Giant Thai Gong.

This traditional, steel Thai temple gong is 6 feet in diameter. It's approximately 30 years old and has been well taken care of. It has a big, deep, rumbling sound that vibrates through your core. We're offering the option to add a custom wooden gong stand if you need a way to hang it.

See and listen to this gong in the video above to decide if it's perfect for you. Once it's gone, we won't get another one like it!
