Malaysian Gongs are traditionally played in a whole Gamelan orchestra, an ensemble of metallophones, drums, and gongs played in layered rhythms. Many instruments play at the same time with different patterns and tones, no instrument overpowers another. These gongs are traditionally used as rhythm counters, played in counts of four.

This gong came to us with some scratches on it that occurred durring shipping. When hit in the center, this gong produces a slightly unpleasant tone, but maybe it is perfect for you! Besides for this, this gong still looks and sounds great, so we are offering it to you at a discount.
