We're excited to share a new line of wooden flutes we've just added to our store! Each of the creations from Blue Star Flutes is unique and special, crafted with care and love by a beautiful cosmic being known as Blue Star (sometimes stylized as Blue*). Blue* truly cares about each flute and considers each of them his children. Each one is the product of a unique and intentional creative process. We're truly moved and amazed by how much care is put into each creation. 

Blue Star Flutes began when Blue* was living in Placitas, New Mexico in the mid-90's and attended the 'Gathering of Nations' Pow-Wow in Albuquerque. This is where he first heard the sound of the wooden flute. He knew immediately that he had to play one. In learning and playing this style of flute, Blue* discovered that it brought him controlled breathing and deeper relaxation. He learned from his elders how to play with intention, channeling his prayers through the sound and sending them out into the universe. 

The experience of discovering these flutes was so powerful and transformative for Blue* that it became his passion and his mission in life to bring these flutes to the rest of the world. It's his purpose to share their transformational power and to spread their spirit to the lives of others. He believes they offer a greater sense of peace, a heightened state of creative focus, an awareness of the interconnectedness of life, and an extended sense of "being in the flow." 

Each flute has its own personality, temperament, and style just like each of us. Blue* equates the selection process to an "adoption" and invites you to find one that resonates with you, the one that you know intuitively to be the right fit for you. We hope the video above from our friend and flute expert Oscar will help you understand and get a sense of these flutes so you can find the one that resonates with you.
