Grotta Sonora's Vimanas are truly unique works of sonic and visual art. Inspired by the mythological swan-like Hamsa bird of the Indian Ramayana, it is created in the shape of a swan, complete with a swan head shaped handle.

This instrument is made from a stainless steel alloy with a high presence of nickel. It is played with a bow or with rubber ball mallet, using friction to create resonant vibration. It sings with ethereal tones that mimic the sound of the human voice, packed with rich harmonics and overtones. It is the perfect addition to sound bath and sound therapy toolkits to accompany the low tones of gongs.
