Gibraltar's SC-GRSHML Memory Lock can be added to your gong rack without having to slide other pieces off. These pieces are made with an all-metal construction. This video shows how to use the chrome clip, but is helpful for using any memory lock.

These memory locks are designed to be used at the knuckles of the rack, which means the joints. They have a male tab that fits into a female cutout that locks the bar into the same position every single time which also adds stability."
