Paiste 22" Accent Gong (#SSK096)

The Paiste Accent Gong is a lively gong that is very similar to a Symphonic Gong, but it is not scraped by the gong makers. This lack of scraping on the Accent keeps the tone lower, and it does not crash or splash as fast.

The 26” Paiste Accent Gong has depth of tone and a cosmic level of sound that is phenomenal. In the early days of Gongs Unlimited, a customer requested a larger size of Paiste Accent Gong and thus the 26” and 28” Paiste Accent Gongs were created. They are now created regularly and you can buy them anywhere Paiste Gongs are sold!

The 26” Paiste Accent Gong is Andrew, the lead Mallethead’s, favorite gong. (And he knows A LOT of gongs.) He loves it because it stays deep and has a profound presence. These gongs are not tuned, but their sustain lasts a long time. If you’re looking for a specific note, we are happy to listen to what we have and try to find specific notes.

PLEASE NOTE: Paiste Accent Gongs are deep and sonorous. That is due, in part, to their design. Their face is not scraped to enhance the crash and wash, like their sibling the Paiste Symphonic Gong. Thanks to this lack of scraping, Paiste Accent Gongs will show some manufacturing details. These details are by no means visual imperfections. They are part of the magnificence of the Accent Gong.
