The Floating Heart Chime is a unique Gongs Unlimited instrument developed in conjunction with Joshua Smith of SoundSmithing.


The Floating Heart Chime, or standing bell, is made of high quality aluminum and has been powder-coated a subtle green color. It is tuned to the musical note of F, which is considered by some a frequency related to the heart chakra.

It has the Vedic symbol of the Anahata (heart) chakra bonded to it in a complementary yellow vinyl, with matching yellow stripes that are not solely for design, but also for indicating the best area to strike for optimum tones.

The base is gorgeous oak wood, cut skillfully in a design derived from the Golden Ratio. The spiral has curved lines etched in it corresponding to the Fibonacci Sequence. These curves are inlayed with malachite-colored resin, adding lustrous streams of metallic-green to the darkened wood.

Grounded to earth via the base, the chime stands sturdy and upright, without any strings, so that no outside hanging apparatus is needed. Everything that supports the chime is inside, giving it the appearance of floating. It’s pure tone provides healing to the body, chakras, and mind, and that illumination rises from this plane to nurture the soul and spirit.

This is an amazing instrument to commence group visualizations and activities, or as a wonderful sonic coda to a yogic class or sound healing event. If you prefer it in your home, it is a great way to start any section of your day, or complete it.
