Please watch and listen to each one on a large screen to get a clear idea of the visual and sonic qualities of each. Once one has sold, we won't get another exactly like it.

Unlimited 44" Atlantis Gong (#BUG619)

The Atlantis Gong is a gift from the deep--from the deep ovens in China where this gong is created. It's the gift of salt and heat which gives the Atlantis Gong its deep tonal and visual color flavor. It's a gift of remembrance from the deep underwater wisdom of Atlantis.

The Atlantis Gong, as an unlathed gong, will hold a deep, mysterious tone. The mixing of bronze with seawater creates the unique appearance and sound.

Unlimited 44" Chau Gong (#PQS172)

The Chau Gong is iconic in appearance. It is what many people see in their mind’s eye when they think of a Chinese Gong. The bull’s-eye design is created by the metal lathing between the rim of the gong and the center. The lathing creates an overall balanced sound between the clear fundamental tone when tapped and a balanced crash when played heavier.

Unlimited 44" Dark Star Gong (#ARW472)

Our Dark Star Gong resembles our Mother Tesla Gongs, with more of a musical bounce to its tone, yet still able to maintain a moodier sentiment. The tone will bring out your thoughts for gentle examination to help you grow. These gongs are heavier, with more bronze, and are meant to help bring the bass. The sound resonates through you for long stretches, vibrations slowly crawling across the room. Dark Star Gongs are the Subwoofer of Gongs.

Unlimited 44" Mother Tesla Gong (#CPW257)

The Mother Tesla Gong is an unlathed gong, designed specifically for Gongs Unlimited. This is how a gong looks when it comes out of the oven. Most Chinese gongs have this color when they come out of their cast mold, but then are lathed to create different tones.

In the gong world, it's good to keep in mind that the smaller the gong, the clearer the tone. The darker the color tone, the slower it is to crash. The Mother Tesla Gong, with its unlathed exterior, maintains a deeper tone. It doesn't crash like a Wind Gong, or even a Chau.

Unlimited 44" Solar Flare Gong (#OPD347)

Our Solar Flare Gong is a more recent addition to the Chinese Gongmaking tradition. It is basically a Wind Gong, but with concentric bands of lathed and unlathed circles. The unlathed parts control the crash and splash, less than a Wind Gong. The rings concentrate the tones, and it does not open up like a fully-lathed gong sound-wise. This size will provide a rich, deep tone with a complex wash.

The Subatomic Gong is similar to the Chau Gong, with an added lathed band on the outer rim. We find it has a bit more intensity and flavor than the traditional Chau gong. It has the ability to create sounds that are great for healers, and sings unlike other gongs, with pockets of sound hidden throughout the different regions and bands of the face.
