International Customers - We Make It Easy For You

Hello to all our customers around the globe! We love you and we want to help make the shopping and shipping experience from the USA to wherever you are as easy as possible.

We know that it can be intimidating to shop from a store in a different country. Please see below some of the many things we offer to help you pay for your items easily, and get them to you safely.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT TAXES AND DUTIES: Our shipping cost is only for the price of shipping.  It does not include any taxes and duties (including VAT) imposed by your country of residence.  There are too many variables for us to be certain about the calculations.  Once the package arrives, you will be contacted by the shipping company to pay any taxes and duties, if needed.

We do not know what the cost of the duties and taxes will be. Each nation has different rules and percentages.  And the type of product can have less or more duties depending on the country.

Thank the Gods of E-Commerce, now many of you can pay for gongs in your own currency. If you are in one of the nations/regions below, our store should automatically convert our USD pricing to your currency, and you can purchase our gongs with it. No calculator needed!

  • Australian Dollar (AUD)
  • Canadian Dollar (CAD)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
  • Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • New Zealand Dollar (NZD)
  • Pound Sterling (GBP)
  • Singapore Dollar (SGD)
  • United States Dollar (USD)
Q1. Do you only support these nine currencies above?
A1. Yes, presently these are the only currencies our store supports. When our e-commerce platform provider expands the choices, we will offer them to you.

Q2. I am in Singapore and your store is showing me pricing in SGD, but I have funds in USD that I want to use. How do I make my payment from another country but using US Dollar?
A2. You can simply change the currency from the currency selector at the top right corner of our store.

Want to know the cost of shipping to your country?

For the most part, it is very easy. Just place the items you want to purchase into your shopping cart.  A pop-up window will appear and you can enter your nation and city/postal code and get the shipping price.

With one or two items, this calculator is highly accurate.  However, if you are purchasing many items at once, like 6 mallets, or 4 gong stands, or 12 gongs all different sizes, you might want to email us with the exact items you want and your exact shipping address and we can see if we can pack them all better than our software thinks we can.

Want to purchase a large gong and have it shipped internationally?

Gongs that are 90cm/36 inches and larger in diameter often need their ship cost calculated manually by us for international shipments.  Even the pop-out window says the shipping cost needs to be calculated manually.

If you are ready to purchase a large gong and have it shipped to your country, please email us with the exact items you want and your exact shipping address and we can determine ship cost.

Postal vs Couriers

We highly recommend choosing our FedEx International option vs. the US Priority Mail option which is then passed on to your national mail service.  To most countries, FedEx is the safer way to ship, as it stays within the Fedex system, versus going from one nation's postal system to other nations.

It also takes less time, and if the item is lost or damaged, FedEx insurance is fast to respond; the postal systems refuse to help. FedEx tracking is much better too.

Exceptions exist to the note above.  Japan has a postal system that abhors losing packages.  Canada has a postal system, that when not on strike, is very good.  But we have had problems with many other countries.

Many of our items - but not all of them - can also be found via our eBay store. eBay has a service called eBay Global Shipping, in which you order the item - and they give you the total price, item, shipping and customs, and you pay it all upfront.

Once we get the order, we ship the item(s) to their Global Shipping Hub in the USA, and they take it the rest of the way.

Positives for this way of International Shipping

  • You know all the cost up front, including duties and taxes.
  • International shipping cost will be lower.
  • eBay's guarantee and protection.

Negatives for this style of International Shipping

  • Our prices are higher on eBay as we have to add 8% for their fee.
  • Will take longer, as we have to ship to eBay and then they ship to you.
  • eBay Global Shipping has size limitations and we cannot ship gongs over 30 inches internationally using this service.
